Assembling a cabinet created with the Fortschritt Bespoke Cabinetry service. This is a small cabinet which we assemble with dowels and glue with the objective of ensuring there are no visible fixings.

Here the customer is a university engaged in medical research and they asked us to make cutouts in the cabinet they design on our website to fit medical equipment.

Even when the application is utilitarian there is a desire to make the cabinetry look good. And because the individual cabinets were small it was easy to get clamps around them so we decided to use dowels and glue. If you were making a wardrobe two metres tall dowels and glue wouldn’t be the best fixing method but for this application it worked well.
