Sliding doors

We can make wooden sliding doors for your cabinets to match the cabinet carcass. We use a top-hung sliding door mechanism which means no bottom track is required.

While great for cabinets up to 1.5m wide there is a limit to our sliding door technology and then a different system is recommended. This occurs when

– mirrored doors are required, which are too heavy for a top-hung sliding door system

– the total span of the sliding doors needs to be over 2metres

In these cases a dedicated sliding door supplier and a system with top and bottom rails is appropriate.

Jim in Surrey designed carcasses on our system and then sourced his doors from Doors Direct (www.doorsdirect.co.uk).

Here Jim has used one set of sliding doors per carcass but you can also have several carcasses joined together and the sliding doors sit in front of them independently.

The illustration below shows how Rob from Kent designed three carcasses to sit behind a sliding door system. In this case there was a chimney breast to deal with so the central cabinet is shallower.
